Bilibili Subtitles & Danmaku Guide: SRT Transcripts & ASS Playback
Learn how to download creator-uploaded CC captions and scrolling danmaku comments, and configure desktop players for offline viewing.
Official Closed Captions for Language Learning & AI Summaries
Bilibili CC captions represent creator-uploaded dialog transcripts with precise millisecond timecodes. Exporting them as standard UTF-8 SRT allows you to study foreign languages (Chinese, Japanese), create video summaries with AI, or import them into video editors.
Offline Danmaku Bullet Comments in VLC & PotPlayer
Danmaku bullet comments are interactive scrolling text sent by viewers. We convert the raw Bilibili XML stream into the Advanced SubStation Alpha (ASS) format with dynamic trajectory coordinates. Drag-and-drop the ASS file into PotPlayer or VLC to recreate the live community feel offline.
One-Click Plain Text Dialogue Copying
Need just the spoken words for quick note-taking, translation, or research? Switch to the Transcript tab and click Copy Text to copy the complete transcript without timestamp clutter.
Multi-Language Subtitle Track Selection
International anime, documentaries, and courses often feature bilingual or multilingual captions (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese). Our downloader detects all published tracks.
Got Questions?
Subtitles & Danmaku Downloader FAQs
Answers regarding subtitle formats, transcript copying, and media player setup.
Which subtitle formats are supported (SRT, JSON, TXT)?
You can export CC subtitles as standard UTF-8 SRT (for video players), JSON (for developer tools), or plain TXT (for reading, translating, or copying transcripts).
How do I display ASS Danmaku comments in media players?
Modern media players like PotPlayer, VLC, and IINA support ASS subtitle files. Simply name the ASS file with the same filename as your MP4 video or drag-and-drop it onto the player window.
Can I copy the video transcript text directly?
Yes! Click "Copy text" to immediately copy the entire time-coded transcript or plain dialogue to your clipboard for note-taking and translation.
What is the difference between CC captions and Danmaku comments?
CC subtitles are creator-uploaded dialogue transcripts. Danmaku comments are user-submitted floating bullet comments that fly across the video screen.
Are bilingual or translated Bilibili subtitles available for download?
Yes. If the original video uploader has provided multi-language CC tracks (such as Chinese, English, Japanese, or Indonesian), all available subtitle language streams will be listed for download.
